Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? You’re not alone.

Starting something new often comes with questions, and I’m always happy to help. Below you’ll find answers to some of the questions I’m asked most often about healing sessions, Reiki, workshops, and community experiences.

If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out. And if there’s a workshop, circle, or topic you’d love to see offered in the future, I’d love to hear that too. Many of the spaces I create begin with a simple conversation and a shared curiosity.

What happens during a One-on-One Healing Session?

Every healing journey is unique, so every session is too.

We’ll begin by talking about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important to you that day. From there, we’ll create a session together that feels supportive and aligned with your needs.

Depending on your goals, our time together may include trauma-informed support, nervous system education, reflective conversation, mindfulness, spiritual exploration (if that feels right for you), Reiki, or a blend of approaches. There is no expectation to have everything figured out before you arrive. You can come exactly as you are. Together, we’ll create space to explore what is coming up for you, reconnect with yourself, and discover what healing and growth can look like for you.

I've never experienced Reiki before. What should I expect?

That’s completely okay! Many people come to me for Reiki for the first time.

Reiki is a gentle energy-healing practice that encourages relaxation and supports balance in the mind, body, and spirit. You don’t need to prepare in any special way; simply come as you are.

We’ll begin with a brief conversation before your session, and afterward we’ll take a few moments to reflect on your experience and discuss anything that came up for you. Every person’s experience is different, and there is no “right” way to experience Reiki.

Do I have to share or participate during workshops of community circles?

Not at all.

You’re always invited to participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you. Some people enjoy sharing openly, while others prefer to listen, reflect, and simply be present. Both are equally welcome.

My intention is to create spaces where people feel safe, respected, and free to engage at their own pace. There is never any pressure to speak or share more than feels right.

What does trauma-informed mean?

Being trauma-informed means recognizing that our experiences shape the way we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to the world around us. It also means understanding how our nervous system responds to stress, overwhelm, and trauma, and recognizing that many of the patterns we struggle with today were once our body’s way of helping us survive.

When we begin to understand those protective responses, we can meet ourselves with greater compassion instead of self-judgment. From there, we can begin learning new ways to support our nervous system, build healthier patterns, and create the safety our minds and bodies need to heal.

In my practice, trauma-informed care is about more than creating a safe space. It’s about helping you better understand yourself while creating an environment built on compassion, collaboration, curiosity, and choice. You’ll never be expected to share more than you’re ready to, and we’ll always move at a pace that feels supportive and respectful of your unique journey.

I'm not sure which service or experience is right for me. What should I do?

You don’t need to know the answer before reaching out, that is to be expected. Simply reach out and we can figure it out together.

Whether you’re considering a one-on-one healing session, Reiki, a workshop, or a Community Circle, we’ll explore what feels like the best fit for where you are right now.
